FSMC Procurement Process

Food Service Management Companies that plan to contract with Kansas's schools and institutions participating in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Programs are required to register with Child Nutrition & Wellness of the Kansas State Department of Education.  Annual registration must be completed for all new contracts and addenda to contracts for each school year.

All Kansas program sponsors soliciting the services of a FSMC are required to follow the process detailed in the following documents and to use these prototype forms. KSDE will provide individualized assistance to each program sponsor throughout the procurement process.
